What is Acne?

How Does Acne Form?
Acne forms from the blocking of the opening of the hair follicle due to the secretion of sebum from the overactive sebaceous glands. Your immune system reacts by attacking the bacteria inside the hair follicles which causes inflammation. So long as the bacterial activity continues to occur, the inflammation continues which results in the appearance of pimples and lesions that might develop into scars and the acne, therefore, will flourish.

What is ClearSkin Laser?
Clearskin is a laser treatment which is designed to treat all forms of acne vulgaris including papules, pustules and nodules by penetrating the skin and destroying the acne bacteria. Do not squeeze, press the acne, white heads or pimples! This will lead to bacterial infection, scaring and pigmentation.
Before starting the laser we recommend a HydraFacial or a medical deep cleansing. This will be continued as a maintenance every 3 -4 weeks.
